This MotoGP World Champion has been the winner of the title a total of five times. Between 1994 and 1998 he was the undisputed champion and he hails all the way from the Gold Coast of Australia. Honour is something that Doohan is very familiar with, in 1996 he was awarded the Order of Australia and has been placed in the Australian Hall of Fame thrice. Not too bad for a rider with an injured hand who couldn’t change gears using the clutch. His bike was modified so that he could change and operate the clutch using his feet.
